I'd like to extend a great big thanks with many kisses and hugs to both reunion committees. You are great planners and all around nice people.  I know that many of you worked on both the Mumford and Vernor reunions.  We love you.

The night of mystical magic was just that.  Being part of this experience was surreal.  I had such a great time....I never stopped smiling...the food was deliciious...the music wonderful...the ambiance incredible.  I hugged and kissed so many people and the joy of seeing them, talking to them, was beautiful.  Cannot thank Ken Bertin, and Andrea Lewiston enough for working so diligently to make this dream come true.  Of course there were many others who devoted their time to make this dream possible.  I had such a wonderful evening.....I am ready to start planning for the next one...maybe in 5 years????? Thank you committee members for making this one of the best nights of my life!!!!!

Nothing but kudos to all of the committees (Mumford, the elementary schools and junior high schools) for all their hard work.  Greatly appreciated by me.

Know the reunion(s) were great because I lost my voice from all the talking I did.

Again, appreciate the hard work by the committees.

Cannot wait for the next reunion.

Bob

Hey Guys!

That was some great get together! My wife and I had a super time. Ken Bertin and the gang did a bang up job of  creating a memorable event.

What a difference from the 1ST reunion the way class mates tried to show how they made it in the world!  Forty years later we were just being real! That made the evening more special. That's maturity, I guess....

What a perfect weekend!  From our Pasteur party on Friday, to the fabulous reunion on Saturday,  and then the nice brunch on Sunday.  I can't imagine another class feeling the magic of friendship and just plain "love" we all experienced at the party.   And we are still great dancers too!  Many thanks to all the committee members, especially Ken, Andrea, Gail and Jack, Jill and Jules, and Bobbi.  We worked well together and had fun.  It was the greatest!

Yes, I ditto what all before me have said.  It was a great night.  And I am finding the Memory Book to be a valuable tool as well.  I was able to see a number of classmates who I have not seen in decades and am beginning to reconnect with those who I saw at the reunion.  Later, I plan to use the information in the book to reach out other classmates who I knew from both Mumford and Vernor and who did make it to either reunion.  Times moves by too fast not to reconnect with some of the "kids" from the old days.

I agree with you all.  My wife and I both had a great time.  And she graduated from a Florida high school!  What a good crowd.  And Ken, it's time for you to start thinking about a new career in PARTY PLANNING!  Ken and the committee all get A's in party-making.  And eveyone who attended gets A's for reaching their age still alive!  Thank you all for contributing to my great life and this great event.

It was an incredible experience to be able to attend  my 50th high school reunion. What a memorable opportunity to see so many familiar faces and reconnect with old friends! Thank you to all who planned  and worked so hard  on this amazing evening.

I have something to add to "If you're from Detroit"

You're from Detroit if you watched Sonny Eliot do the weather.

It looks like the interest in this website is beginning to fade.  I'm hoping that we all survived the reunion, and that we continue to use this site to keep in touch.  I look forward to reading about all your adventures.

Hi Howard:

Agree with Abby.  There might be times when the postings ebb and flow.

Regardless, I made a financial contribution this week to keep the website intact and I hope others will also.

Ken, You are the best.  This was my first reunion attended.  Of course that was due to being away from home for thirty years.  Great location!  I have a concern about the next 10 ten years.  Has there been any other inquiries about having a reunion in maybe 5 years?

To Ken and the entire committee;

Thank you for a very special and memorable evening.  In all the years since graduation, this was the first reunion I was able to attend - hopefully, not the last!  A special thanks to Bonnie Levine for making sure Paula and I had our special dinners (vegan).

William (Bill) Brodt (1964)

I was looking over the reunion book today and noticed the picture of the boy's ensemble on page 162, of which I was a member (the only one with blond hair) since it's formation by Gene Hancock.  Richard Bloom, Henry Bodzin and Stuart Grant were my friends and the only people other than our director, Lois Craig, whom I remember.  It's pleasing to see the picture, but I'm surprised because we weren't social or academic stars.  I'd be interested in knowing how and why the picture was selected.

I also noticed Ken Bertin's comments about not realizing how good a student he was until he graduated.  Our class was exceptionally talented in many ways.  I remember failing my 2nd exam in Algebra I, a humiliating blow for an honors student.  Somehow I aced the final and salvaged the semester.  Looking back, the experience actually helped me accept occasional disappointments later in life, but especially the freshman year at UM.

It was selected because it was a good representative photo of the times. We could have selected several other photos, this one just stood out.
