Vera Sue Camen Schanz was an amazing daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a "Top" realtor and an exemplary teacher. Celebrating her St. Patrick's Day Birthday with friends was always a special delight. Vera touched so many lives with her vivacious personality. She had the ability to light up a room with laughter--telling stories and funny jokes. She is sadly missed but certainly not forgotten.
Vera and I met at Vernor Elementary School. She was a dear friend of mine. I enjoyed many happy times with her and her family. Her March 17th (St. Patrick's Day Birthday) was a yearly reminder to get in touch with her and give her Birthday Wishes. She was proud of her 3 wonderful children - Ilyse, Robyn and Louis. She was also a great student winning awards for Spanish and English - 4 years of straight A's. Mostly I remember her sense of humor, keen wit and how she could brighten any room.
