John, Martin Abel, Karen Anglin and I were classmates at Mettetal. Ten of us accepted the invitation to attend Mumford. The four of us stayed on to graduate. He was interested in politics - remember the mock presidential convention, John and I had another bond. His Aunt and Uncle and cousins were exceptionally close friends with my family. At our 50th reunion, he mentioned leukemia. Sadly, Martin, John and his cousin Gail have all left us.
