Richard and I were friends in high school and our first year in college, although we disagreed on many issues. He had a lot of inside information on what went on in government and politics. That's what made him so interesting.

Rick was a good friend of mine and we made several trips to Toronto, one of which he introduced me to his cousin, Gilda Radner, at the Second City.
He died of a heart attack in 1997 way too young.
