I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing.  He and I were close friends at Macdowell and on into high school at Mumford - played lots of sports together,  caused a reasonable amount of trouble.  He went on to become a well-respected neurologist and we lost touch except for an occasional hello.  Great guy - very sad to lose him so young.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. He was the one and only person to get me to play golf. Lost touch over the years, but, have fond memories of our times together.

Johnny and I were cabin mates at Camp Hiawatha in 1959 and 1960. He was a special guy and a true friend. We remained as such throughout high school. My regret is that I didn't keep closer touch with him after school although running the reunion got me to speak with him each decade. Talking with him on the phone, I found him to be the same mensch of a guy I remember as a kid. I am deeply saddened by his passing.

He was a good guy, and a good man.  He is missed.

Great guy -- became friends from Camp Hiawatha days. We played alot of hockey on ponds together.  Still remember stalking Alex Delvecchio's house with John at about age10 -- he lived down the block from John.  RIP friend.

John and I sat next to each other in a double desk in civics in the 12th grade. We were both JFK freaks and became friendly. Later, we both went thru the same neurology residency program at U of M. Although we didn't stay close socially, we would occasionally see each other at meetings and had warm feelings for each other. John was a consummate gentleman, a great physician, and one of the nicest and most un-pretentious people I've ever met. I was so very saddened to learn of his death recently. A great loss for everyone.
