Edith Cooper was without a doubt my favorite teacher at Mumford.  She made Algebra and Geometry easy to understand.  I loved going to her class and solving the homework problems on the board with the aid of her clear explanations.  She was also the most organized teacher I had at Mumford.  On Fridays she would give out the assignments for the entire next week so that students knew how to budget their time.  She was easy to respect and like. I thought often about her through the years.

Edith Cooper, Ellen Foster and Louise Beck were three of my beloved math teachers.  They contributed so greatly to making my life what it has happily became.  I tried teaching math after retiring from engineering, but coud not do it well enough.  Being good a math and being a teacher are NOT the same.  These women had it ALL.  Many thanks and RIP.
