Alison (Abby) Greenstone (Goldbaum) (1964)

Joy was a good friend of mine both in Religious School and at Mumford and then Michigan State University.  She was a bridesmaid in our wedding party in 1968.  Joy was a loyal, caring, and creative person.  She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.  Joy had a beautiful soprano voice and loved folk music.  She also became a sculptor and an art teacher.  We seemed to go our separate ways as Don and I settled down to our life with children in Ohio and Joy moved onto Flint.  Don and I remember her and we miss her deeply.

Steven Yellan (1964)

I dated Joy twice in 1963. We met in a ceramics class. Although our relationship was brief, I can't forget it because we went out on a date November 22, 1963, the day Kennedy was shot. We were 17. She probably never knew she changed the course of my life by suggesting I read Freud's "General Introduction to Psychoanalysis." I went on to get a BA in psychology and a Masters of Social Work degree. I spent most of my career working in the mental healh field as a psychotherapist.
