Michael Burton Bennett died October 22, 2024 at his home in Harrison Twp. at age 78. Beloved husband of Sonja Bennett, he is also survived by step-daughters Ellen Keyt, Laura(John) Kelley and Maren Keyt; brother Alan (Rebecca) Bennett; and grandsons Charlie, Art, and Henry Kelley. Michael loved his German Shepherd dogs and is survived by beautiful Rex.
Michael was born in Detroit and graduated from Mumford High School. He was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and did graduate studies at Harvard University.
Spending many years in sales, especially real estate sales, Mike's favorite work was with the United States Naval Academy, where he was first a Blue and Gold Officer and then became the Area Coordinator for all of Southeast Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at American Lutheran Church, 38795 Mulberry, Clinton Twp. 48036 on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service.
