In the words of Jeremy Schaap, the "Great Imposter" was the most genuine of men. Barry had a great sense of humor and timing. Always upbeat and positive, it was fun to be in his presence.

Suggest reading The NY Times obit which with admiration recounted Barry's amazing career and accomplishments.  An eery coincidence, I was in the audience at the 1985 Emmy Awards ceremony in Pasadena, CA as the executive representative of the Writers Guild when Barry leaped up to falsely accept an award.  This was an imposter moment which I believe he regretted later due to the hurt it caused the true award recipient.  Amazing to see it unfold.  Told my husband, "He sat behind me in study hall at Mumford HS!"  Rest in peace, Barry.

Had  lots of Fun with Barry in the halls of Mumford High.  Remember seeing him at the last couple of reunions.  He would always present me with a picture of the two of us taken at  the Last Reunion, can you believe that?  I remember laying in bed one night watching  the 'Tonight Show' with Johnny Carson...Only to see Barry being introduced as the 'Great Imposter'.  What an Interview with Johnny!  Told myself  'If Barry could get out the show, Why not me'..  but that never happen.  Only Barry could  Be Barry.   Last ran into Barry several years ago shopping with his wife.  We shared a couple of Laughs & Family updates and continued shopping. Barry could always make you feel Good.   Will miss You.

This was taken in Seattle about the week after Barry was diagnosed, I later learned.  You never would have known it.  He was, as always, one of the most alive people I have ever known. As eager as I am to see people I haven't seen for a very long time, it will still be weird to be around this crowd and not have Barry there.  He NEVER missed a party.  Hell, he WAS half the parties.
