Thomas Dobbin Wolff, (b.13 Jun 1903, d.1 Apr 1989). Moved to Detroit in 1925 when his father Rev. John S. Wolff (d.1957) was installed as pastor at Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church. Wolff attended Detroit College (now Wayne State). Married to Mary Gimblett, of Lapeer, MI (d.1987) in 1938. Both teachers in the Detroit school system at time of marriage. Completed a Masters at Wayne State in 1952; his thesis "Safeguarding the arsenal of democracy: a history of Detroit Office of Civilian Defense in WWII. Taught Economics, History and Social Studies at Mumford HS from c1950 until retirement c1966. Continued to live in Oak Park, MI. until his demise. Known for his storytelling; Wolff loved his wife, Detroit, teaching & students at Mumford, political debate, cigars, and good food. No issue. Brother John S Wolff (d.1998), nephews John, Thomas (d.2011), Bruce, and Roswell Wolff.
